Probe amplifications for each allele were determined theoretically based on known sequences. However, alleles in boldface have been experimentally verified to behave as predicted in this assay.

Probe pair 5 amplified significantly less in the presence of *06 alleles compared to *03 alleles, likely due to a polymorphism away from the ligation site on the 5R probe.

The complete exon 2 sequence of DQB1*06:08:01 is unknown, and unknown variation in this allele may disrupt the binding of probe 7.

Allele DQB1*06:14:02 may not amplify probe 9 due to a single nucleotide mismatch in the left hybridizing sequence.
