Age- and sex-matched Cardif ^−/−, Tlr3 ^−/−, Cardif ^−/−/Tlr3 ^−/− and WT animals were administered i.n. poly I:C for 3 days, followed by i.t. S. pneumoniae (1×10⁴ CFU).
