Transformation of H. pylori type II restriction endonuclease-deficient mutants with plasmid DNA. H. pylori 26695 and derivative strains were transformed with plasmids with selectable phenotypes cloned into pGEM-T Easy. (A) p801R (an 801-bp H. pylori rpsL fragment from a Strr strain [rpsL A126G]). (B) pAD1-Cat (H. pylori DNA at ureAB locus flanking a 1.2-kb cat cassette conferring Cmr).
