Coronal gradient recalled acquisition (A) and sagittal proton density (B) MR sequences, performed to “rule out lateral epicondylitis”, demonstrate only mild tendinosis (A - arrow) of the extensor carpi radialis brevis without discrete tear. Full-thickness cartilage loss, however, with bone-on-bone apposition at the radiocapitellar joint (B – arrowhead) was identified as the source of the patient’s symptoms. Images courtesy of Hollis G.
