Concentrations inhibiting 50% of incorporation of precursors into PC (PC₅₀), PE (PE₅₀) and nucleic acids (NA₅₀) were measured after 3 h incubation at high haematocrit (2%) and high parasitaemia (5–10%) to avoid the toxic effect of the choline analogue, as described in Figure 2. The results are means of two independent experiments (with different batches of cells) each conducted in duplicate.
