Sense transcripts contained within Mu killer occur in lines failing to silence MuDR. The two plants analyzed were genotyped as Mu killer carriers, however, the cDNA is negative for Mu killer antisense transcripts and positive for mudrA sense transcripts covering the 3′ end of the gene characteristic of mudrA (Figure 1).
