Steady state oxygen evolution (μmol O₂ mg^-1 chlorophyll h⁻¹) was measured by O₂ electrode under saturating light. The cells grown under high (3%) or air level of CO₂ were suspended in the growth medium. The measurements were performed in the presence of 10 mM NaHCO₃. The results are presented as a mean ± sd from three independent cultures and four measurements from each culture.
