The total number of microglia in laminas I–II of the injured L5 segmental level : There was no significant difference in the number of activated microglia between groups A and B. The nerve injury groups (C, D, E) were more sensitive than the sham group (*P < 0.001), with significant differences between C, D and E (**P < 0.001).
