(a) Differential cell counts of monocytes, neutrophils and lymphocytes from whole blood from healthy blood donors (HBD), anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis (AAV) and transplant (TP) patients. (b) Monocyte subsets were measured using flow cytometry and divided into three subsets: classical (CD14^highCD16^low), anti-inflammatory (CD14^highCD16^high) and proinflammatory (CD14^lowCD16^high). (c) pDCs were measured using flow cytometry as CD303 and CD123 positive cells. Where statistical differences were found these are depicted in the figures as *P < 0·05; **0·01 > P < 0·05; and ***P < 0·001.
