Growth of the p-1 internode of barley at the stage used throughout this study

The p-1 internode was divided into three sections: uppermost 20 mm, middle, and lowermost 20 mm. These three sections were measured every day for 5 d, along with the total length of the p-1 internode. Data are shown as means ± se (n = 9).
