Dark-grown seedlings were exposed to a single pulse of blue light for 10 s and were returned to darkness (A and B). Alternately, the dark-grown seedlings were exposed to five 10-s pulses of blue light separated by 10-min dark intervals (C and D). Curvature was measured 2 h after the light pulse.
