Age- and sex-matched HBV transgenic mice and control, nontransgenic mice were subjected to a 70% PHx and sacrificed at the indicated time points for liver weight measurements. Three mice were analyzed per time point, and the graph shows the means. The average liver weight prior to PHx was defined as 100%. (B) PCNA staining of the regenerating mouse liver. Only the staining result of the HBV transgenic mouse line Tg05 is shown. However, other HBV transgenic mouse lines and the control mice showed similar results. (C) Percentage of PCNA-positive cells. No statistical difference was observed between control mice and any of the HBV transgenic mouse lines.
