(A) Isolated HCT-8/E11 cells were treated with or without SbS (dilution 1/8) and plated on either fibronectin or vitronectin at the indicated concentrations. Cell-ECM adhesion was evaluated as described in Methods. Results are expressed as the percentage of cell adhesion. Data represent the mean+SD of 3 separate experiments. (B) HCT-8/E11 cells were treated with or without dilutions of SbS and plated on vitronectin (Vn). Cell-vitronectin adhesion was evaluated as described in Methods. (C) HCT-8/E11 cells were treated with or without SbS, seeded in vitronectin-coated or fibronectin-coated wells and allowed to adhere for 2 h at 37°C. Spreading cells were counted microscopically. Results are expressed as the percentage of spreading cells. Data represent the mean+SD of 3 separate experiments. *** P<0.001.
