Aminopropyl mannoside (man-NH2) and mannose were probed with 50 nM Dylight 649-labeled Con A; bioactivity was observed on the DVS+ membrane but not on the DVS− membrane. There was no signal from the galactose spots, as expected. Representative fluorometric spots from the membranes appear below each corresponding bar (data were averaged over 6 spots for each carbohydrate).
