This flow-induced constriction was unaffected by superoxide dismutase (SOD, 100 u·mL⁻¹), either alone or in combination with catalase (CAT, 1200 u·mL⁻¹), by BQ-123 (1 µM) alone, by indomethacin (Indo, 3 µM) alone, by HET0016 (HET, 3 µM) alone, or by carbenoxolone (Carbenox, 100 µM) alone, but was powerfully inhibited in Ca²⁺-free solution, or by endothelial denudation (-EC).
