Effect of vitamin B₁₂ on epimastigotes cultured with different hemin concentrations. T. cruzi epimastigotes were grown in the presence (45 μM) or absence of B₁₂ in culture medium containing different hemin concentrations (0, 10, and 30 μg/ml). The cells were counted daily between days 2 and 6. On the fourth day, vitamin B₁₂ was added again at a concentration of 30 or 45 μM (arrow). All other experimental conditions were those described in Materials and Methods.
