G. morhua were force-fed 2% of their body mass at time zero. The variables are oxygen uptake (MO2), cardiac output (CO), heart rate (HR) and coeliac (Qce, diamonds) and mesenteric (Qme, circles) blood flow. Filled symbols are fish exposed solely to normoxic conditions (n = 7) and open symbols are fish exposed to normoxic conditions except for 90 min of exposure to 35% O2 saturation (grey area) (n = 7). All values are mean ± SE. Solid vertical lines indicates pre-feeding baseline values, in case of MO2 and HR the dotted lines are ± SE.
