All approaches imply the same HPV type at each positive visit (+). HPV persistence defined as a repeated event of visit pairs. Women who are HPV positive at a particular measurement are considered persistent if their subsequent measurement is also positive for the same HPV type and transient if their subsequent visit was negative or a different HPV type.
