mRNA expression profile of vitamin D receptor (VDR), CYP24A1 and CYP27B1 in normal thyroid tissue (NL), follicular adenoma (FA), and differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC). VDR mRNA expression was significantly increased compared with both NL and FA, whereas CYP24A1 mRNA expression was clearly enhanced in FA compared with both NL and DTC.
