DIRVI: donor at increased risk for viral infection according to the Centers for Disease Control categorization; SCD: Standard criteria donor; ECD: Expanded criteria donor; DCD: donation after cardiac death; HIV: human immunodeficiency virus
Recipients of live donor kidneys, recipients of kidneys from deceased donors seropositive for hepatitis C or hepatitis B, and recipients of kidneys from deceased donors that met criteria as ECD-DCD, ECD-DIRVI, DCD-DIRVI, or ECD-DCD-DIRVI were excluded. P-values represent comparisons across all groups. Percentages were calculated among individuals without missing data for that variable.
Defined as peak panel reactive antibody >80%
