Effect of repeated additions of histamine on intracellular [Ca²⁺] ([Ca²⁺]_i) in rat conjunctival goblet cells. Cultured rat goblet cells were loaded with the Ca²⁺ indicator dye fura 2. Histamine (10⁻⁵ M) was then added at 30 (A), 60 (B), or 120 seconds (C) intervals (indicated by the arrows) and the [Ca²⁺]_i measured.
