[3H]Thymidine incorporation is expressed relative to nontreated epimastigotes (control condition) taken as 100%. Percent DNA fragmentation was estimated by digital analysis of the electrophoretic bands, taking as 100% the fragmentation observed with 10% FHS. Results are mean ± SD of at least three independent experiments.
