In cases 1 and 2, one of the two paternal peaks is inherited by the patients and the placentas, and no trace of maternal peaks is identified. In case 4, both paternally and maternally derived peaks are found in the patient, with the paternally derived long peak being larger than the maternally inherited short peak.
