1-(1-Acetypiperidin-4-yl)-3-adamantanylurea (APAU) treatment attenuated the escalation of blood glucose levels in University of California-Davis (UCD)-type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) rats. Blood glucose was measured weekly for the 6-wk treatment period (n = 9 APAU-treated rats, 6 untreated UCD-T2DM rats, and 10 nondiabetic control rats). ***P < 0.001 vs. the control group; ###P < 0.001 vs. the treated group (by two-way ANOVA).
