Dentatin mediates antiproliferative effect and apoptosis through induction of oxidative stress. ROS production in dentatin-treated PC-3 and LNCaP cells after 24 h was detected with DCFH-DA dye. DCFH-DA is rapidly oxidized to DCF by ROS and fluorescence can be measured with a fluorescent microplate reader. The levels of DCF fluorescence in dentatin-treated cells were markedly increased. Data were shown as mean ± SD. Significant differences (*P < 0.05) between dentatin-treated and untreated control cells.
