Body weight, % body fat and fat mass were higher in HF-SED mice compared with LF-SED mice but they were significantly lower in HF-RUN mice than in HF-SED mice and comparable to LF-SED mice. Insulin and blood glucose level were not significantly different among groups. Citrate synthase activity was enhanced in red gastrocnemius of HF-RUN compared with LF-SED or HF-SED.
