(b), Pentamidine decreases Trp emission fluorescence intensity of TMD-5 in 150 µM C14 betaine and 50 mM HEPES (pH = 7.4) buffer in a dose-dependent manner. *p<0.05 by student t-test versus the fluorescence of TMD-5 in the presence of C14 betaine; **p<0.01 by student t-test versus the fluorescence of TMD-5 in the presence of C14 betaine.
