Cells were transfected with control siRNA (siCon) or MCM3AP siRNAs (siMCM3AP) for 24 h in the absence of serum. These cells were then infected overnight with HCMV (CMV) in the presence of serum. Additionally, siCon treated cells were either left overnight in serum free medium (−S) or treated with serum overnight (+S). Cells were then stained for IE expression (green) and PCNA (red).
