Wapl proteins colocalize with the cohesin subunit Rad21 on polytene chromosomes. (A) All panels include a picture of an entire genome and an enlargement of a small region (insets). Scale bar: 10 μm. As there is very little Wapl-S in larvae (see Fig. 3), these pictures reflect the distribution of Wapl-L on the polytene chromosomes. (B) Wapl-AG-HA binds to polytene chromosomes. A small region of the genome is shown. Wapl-AG-HA co-localizes with Rad21 but also binds more broadly to polytene chromosomes.
