Role of LRP1 in the uptake of modified lipids by cardiomyocytes. Control and LRP1-deficient HL-1 cardiomyocytes were submitted to or hypoxia for 24 hours either in absence or presence of nLDL or agLDL (0.6 mM) for the last 12 hours. Cells were exhaustively washed and collected in NaOH 0.1 M as explained in Methods. Thin layer chromatography showing CE and FC bands and histograms with their quantification. Results are expressed as micrograms per milligram of protein and shown as mean ± SEM of three experiments performed in triplicate. ξP  < 0.05 versus control cells.
