WbHMGB1 stimulates cytokines release (TNF-α, IL-8, MIP-1α, and RANTES) from HL-60 cells. Cells were stimulated with 1 μg/ml of purified WbHMGB1 and the supernatants were assayed by inflammatory protein array 24 h after stimulation. Control cells were either left unstimulated (US) or treated with 10 μg/ml GBF protein. Cells were cultured in the presence of polymyxin B (30 μg/ml).
