5-month old mice on chow diet were intraperitoneally injected with leptin (3 mg/kg body weight) and euthanized 30 minutes later. Soleus and EDL muscle strips were quickly removed and frozen in liquid nitrogen. α2AMPK activity and AMPK and ACC phosphorylation were conducted as described in Figure 3.
