Targeting of multiple risk factors in Steno-2. The intensive-therapy group had better control of multiple risk factors in Steno-2 compared with the standard-therapy group, but a significant proportion of participants did not achieve target levels for risk factors, and only 1 individual achieved all of the targets. Despite this, there was a 20% risk reduction in cardiovascular events in the intensive-therapy group.
