Longitudinal trajectories (divided into five year intervals) of Auditory Verbal Learning Test Long Term Memory scores in four TOMM40-APOE defined subgroups (see text) including L*/L*/e4+, L*/L*/e4−, S/e4+, and S/e4−. There are noninteracting significant TOMM40 and APOE effects with a flattening of the normal test-retest effect in the L*/L* subgroups prior to age 60, and accelerated decline in the e4+ subgroups after age 60.
