(a) Evaluation of neutrophil viability cultured with SDS-MSCs. Neutrophils from HDs were cultured alone or in the presence of HD-MSCs and SDS-MSCs at 24 and 48 h. Viable neutrophils were evaluated by annexin V and 7-AAD (7-aminoactinomycin D) staining as percentage of double negative cells on recovered cells at each time point analyzed. The mean percentage of viable cells evaluated in 10 independent experiments is shown. (b) IL-6 secretion after neutrophils and SDS-MSCs coculture. Quantification of IL-6 in the supernatants was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay at different time points. The graph represents the mean±s.e. of 10 experiments (Student's t-test >0.05).
