Tonoplasts isolated from the leaves and roots of control and salt stressed plants were used. V-H+-ATPase activity was determined by measuring the amount of inorganic phosphate released in the presence and absence of concanamycin A, and V-H+-PPase activity was measured in the presence and absence of KCl. The results are presented as the means ± SEM of three replicates, and different letters indicate significant differences among treatments (P<0.05).
