RNA slot blot analysis of reporter transcripts. Total cellular RNA was isolated as described for Fig. 5, dotted onto a membrane, and hybridized with a ³²P-labeled luciferase probe for quantification. The results of 5 measurements are shown (means ± SEM) after subtraction of background signal (mock transfection). Statistical analysis was performed and showed no significant differences between the wt and uAUG-mutated constructs for each group.
