Figure A1

Differential effect of PhTx-433 on AMPAR-mediated EPSCs in CA1 pyramidal cells of H1aTG and WT mice. The time course of EPSC amplitude changes during PhTx-433 (10 mM) application in WT (black circles), H1 KO (blue circles) and H1aTG (red circles). PhTx was applied after achieving stable base line recordings. In WT as well as H1 KO slices, PhTx caused a significant reduction of EPSC amplitudes, (0.69 ± 0.17 n = 7 and 0.62 ± 0.16, n = 5, respectively) which reached steady state level 30 min after starting drug perfusion. In CA1 pyramidal cells of H1aTG mice PhTx did not have any significant effect on AMPAR-mediated synaptic transmission (1.02 ± 0.12, n = 5).
