Time course of H₂O₂ elicitation by 1-DDO at various concentrations. The results from one typical experiment are shown. In this experiment the H₂O₂ peak induced by 100 μm of 1-DDO was at the 3-h time point, 2.9-fold higher than at 0.5 h. In seven experiments performed similarly for over 3 months, this factor varied between 1.6- and 2.9-fold. In these experiments, the decrease between 3 and 4 h was sometimes either not observed or rather small.
