Laminin-111 modification of nanofibers enhances polarity of SIMS cells. Cells were immunostained for (A) ZO-1 and (B) occludin as indicators of apicobasal polarity. Single apical and basal confocal images and XZ projections indicate that both ZO-1 and occludin are apically localized in the presence of laminin-111, which is indicative of TJ maturation. Scale, 25 μm.
