Purified SlGOMT1 and SlGOMT2 were assayed at room temperature under standard assay conditions by adding substrate at a final concentration of 200 μM and excess 14C-SAM together. Relative activity is expressed as the percentage of GOMT1 activity with guaiacol as a substrate.
* Specific activity was measured 1.96 NMOL/MIN/MG protein at saturating substrate concentrations.
