In situ polymerase chain reaction (ISPCR) on samples that were incubated with nanobarcoded superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles at (A) 200 nM, (B) 50 nM, (C) 25 nM, or (D) 0 final concentrations for 24 hours. The same ISPCR cocktail (containing reverse primer and template) was used for these samples. Control ISPCR samples were performed with (E) human papilloma virus 18 E7 primers or (F) water.
