MLS-2438, as a Src inhibitor, inhibits phosphorylation of Src, JAK2, STAT3 and Akt and induces apoptosis in human melanoma cells. The MLS-2438-mediated apoptosis at least in part is associated with inhibition of STAT3 and Akt signaling.
