Stoichiometric ratios of PMCA isoforms were calculated by normalizing the chromatographic areas measured by FT SIM MS to the sum of the areas for the four isoform-specific peptides.

Pooled fractions were isolated by Brij98 treatment of SPMS followed by sucrose density centrifugation. Peptides from these fractions were obtained following protein digestion of proteins separated by SDS gel electrophoresis as described under Methods.
