Cooperativity of human TLS polymerases ι and κ during the bypass of 1,N⁶-γ-HMHP-dA adduct. Primer-template complex containing 1,N⁶-γ-HMHP-dA (50 nm) was incubated with hpol ι (10 nm) for 0–30 min. After 30 min, 5 nm of hpol κ was added to the reaction mixture to determine whether the primer extension started by hpol ι and stalled by the adduct can be completed by hpol κ. The extension products were resolved by PAGE.
