TNF-α release induced by spider silk proteins from the macrophage cell line J774 determined by ELISA. The macrophages were incubated in media containing different concentrations of spider silk proteins for 5h. LPS was used as a positive control. The results are expressed as means of three independent experiments and error bars show the standard deviations of the means.
