Sephadex G-25 gel-filtration fractions showing the highest specific spermidine-binding activity were applied to a Sephadex G-200 column after incubation for 5 min at 5°C with 18.5 kBq [14C]spermidine. Proteins were eluted by using buffer A, pH 8.0, with 0.01% (w/v) OG and 0.4-mL aliquots were collected.
