Effect of MAVS on RIG-I-CARD-induced STAT1 phosphorylation. Either stably MAVS-silenced 293-flp cells (MAVS) or a negative control, lacZ-silenced cells (Lac), were transfected with RIG-I-CARD (CARD) or an empty vector (mock) for the indicated periods. Following the transfections, cell lysates (A) or conditioned media (B) were collected. (A) The levels of the phosphorylated form of STAT1 (pSTAT1) and total STAT1 were analyzed by immunoblotting.
