Values are based on the interaction of HA or HN protein and F protein. 293T cells were cotransfected with constructs encoding F-C-CFP and HN-N-Venus as indicated in the text; receptor engagement was prevented by addition of 10 mM zanamivir. These experiments were subjected to immunoblot analysis to assess expression across all samples. Proteins were detected by goat anti-GFP horseradish peroxidase-conjugated antibody. The mean fluorometric ratio resulting from protein-protein interaction was measured in an average of at least 10 fields per experiment, and the values are averages of results from three separate experiments, showing equal expression across all samples.
