ICH volumes were quantified using the stereology technique, which utilizes systematic sampling of 25–30 serial sections per brain, each section separated by 200-mm along the anteroposterior axis of the mouse brain. Analysis of the ICH volumes revealed that SB-3CT significantly reduced ICH volume in ischemic brains (n = 3), p < 0.05 by one-tailed Student’s t-test, and data are expressed as means ± SEM. c Fluorescence staining shows loss of lectin-positive endothelial cells in the embolic ischemic cortex.
